Hello friends! It has been a hot minute since I’ve blogged, let alone blogged about something Disney related! If you follow me on Instagram, you might’ve seen that I am a Disney annual passholder once again. I really couldn’t help myself. I just love the place so much.
Let’s be real, every ounce of Disneyland is pretty much insta-worthy. Disney has done an amazing job paying attention to small details that make for the perfect Instagram shot. However, there are a few spots that I happen to love that I think everyone should stop at and snap hundreds of photos. I blowing up my Insta feed with Disney pics every time I visit.
While I have plenty of Disney pictures, I’m going to be honest, I’m pretty lazy. I could go into all my photos and find these spots but that requires a lot of time and effort! So instead, I’ve found all of these lovely photos on Pinterest so all credit goes to the original owner, whoever they may be!
Once known as Cove Bar, the Lamplight Lounge is as insta-worthy as ever. With delicious cocktails and tasty food, you won’t be able to stop yourself from filling up your phone’s camera roll. If possible, try to snag a seat outside. You get views of Pixar Pier and the Incredicoaster. I’ve only been once since the update but wasn’t feeling too well so I didn’t get to snag any good pics. Guess that means I have to visit again.
While getting the perfect shot on Main Street may be hard if the park is busy, the shops make for the cutest background! My favorite store is Penny Arcade! Can’t beat the marquee lights.
Disney did EVERYTHING right when they opened up Cars Land. The theming is unbelievably well done and it feels like you’re walking down Radiator Springs. While everything is to die for, the best place for a full-blown photoshoot is Flo’s. And hey, while you’re there, grab their breakfast tamales.
The “It’s a Small World” Blue Wall
This It’s a Small World blue wall might be the most famous Disney insta-wall. I’ve definitely taken a picture or two here. So where’s it located? If you’re looking directly at the ride, it will be to your left, right behind Fantasy Faire Gifts.
Silly Symphony Swings
If you’re visiting in the near future and you want a unique picture of California Adventure, drag a friend onto the Silly Symphony Swings before it changes to the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind. Though I do not know when the swings will close, they are said to make the change over to the Inside Out theme in 2019. So go while you still can!
For anyone over the age of 8 years old, there’s not really a reason to take a step into Toontown. Except unless you want to meet Minnie and Mickey in their houses. However, this isn’t necessarily true. With the trolley in the heart of it and the new ever-changing wall next to Minnie’s house, there are plenty of spots for photos. And that area of the park tends to be less busy than the rest!
If you’re anything like me, you hate carousels. I’ve never been a huge fan but I’ve definitely done it for the gram. And I don’t regret it one bit.
Eating Disney food
Okay, so this may not be a specific place, but it’s a proven fact that everyone looks cute when posing with or eating something Mickey shaped. My favorites are pretzels, caramel apples, or rice krispies.
The side of the castle
While everyone tries to get the perfect shot directly in front of the castle, it’s nearly impossible these days. Unless you’re there before opening, there will always be huge crowds which can be a buzzkill for your pictures. My favorite spots are to the left and right of the castle where there are a lot less people!
If you can manage to take some pics on a ride without losing your phone, go for it! The best ones to give it a shot are the Astro Orbiters, the Teacups, Thunder Mountain, the Incredicoaster, and Dumbo.
I could spend hours talking about the best places to snap pictures at Disneyland but that would take forever and I think you’d start losing interest. SO if you’re looking for more photo inspiration, check out my Disney Pinterest board out. I’m constantly pinning new ideas that inspire me. And if you don’t follow me on Instagram already, you can find me here! I leave this weekend for Disney once again so I will be blowing up my feed yet again!
What are your favorite Disney photo-op spots?!
Until next time! XO
