The 10 Best Disneyland Snacks (That Aren’t Churros)

May 9, 2019Disney4

Okay, so this post probably should’ve been one of the first things that I ever posted on the blog. I’m not sure how I’m just writing this two years after starting the blog. The problem is how does one even choose their favorite Disneyland snacks? I’m sure by now you’ve read lists that include the basics like dole whips & churros and while some of those might make an appearance on this list, it’s going to go beyond that. I am going to share with you my favorite Disneyland snacks that are great if you’re looking to switch things up during your next visit. So let’s get this show on the road!

Mickey Pretzel

Where to find them: Bayside Brews, Pacific Wharf Distribution (also a great place to get a margarita or a beer), Pretzel cart near Hyperion Theater, Pretzel cart neat Thunder Mountain, Pretzel cart near Small World, Pretzel cart near Star Tours, Refreshment Corner

Loaded Dole Whip

Want a dole whip on steroids? Then look no further. The loaded dole whip includes pineapple and orange swirl, crystalized hibiscus, exotic fruit, and pocky sticks

Where to find: Tropical Hideaway (next to Jungle Cruise)

Mickey beignets

I’m a sucker for a good beignet, especially if they’re Mickey shaped. They do offer seasonal options however, I love the classic option.

Where to find: Mint Julep Bar (located at the backside of the French Market Restaurant)

Mint Julep

If you’re looking for a refreshing beverage, my go-to is a mint julep. I have one every time I visit. Though it may not have alcohol, this drinks brings a taste of the south to New Orleans Square. It’s a combination of mint, lemonade, lime juice, and club soda.

Where to find: Mint Julep Bar (the same place you can find beignets – so why not just get both while you’re there?)

Mickey Rice Krispy Treat

Where to find: Candy Palace, Marceline’s Confectionary, Pooh Corner, Trolley Treats

Churro Toffee

Churro toffee combines two of my favorite things: churros and toffee. Imagine a big piece of toffee coated in cinnamon sugar? I can’t believe it took me so long to try it but now that I have it’s one of my favorite sweet treats

Where to find: Trolley Treats or Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff (both in DCA)

Mickey Cookies N’ Cream Shake

Originally only offered just for the “Get Your Ears On” celebration, this Mickey-inspired cookies n’ cream shake was so popular that they decided to keep it on the menu. It’s all that you want it to be and more.

Where to find: Schmoozies! (DCA)

Pomme Frites

I love potatoes in absolutely every form. But french fries might be my favorite. And what’s better than french fries topped with garlic, parmesan, and parsley with a side of spicy cajun remoulade? Absolutely nothing.

Where to find: Cafe Orleans

Carne Asada Nachos

Okay, so this is more of a meal than a snack but I couldn’t resist putting it on the list. Lamplight Lounge is home to amazing food, incredible cocktails, and even better views of Paradise Pier. If you’re a seafood fan, I highly recommend the lobster nachos but if you’re like me, you can replace to lobster for carne asada for some seriously good nachos.

Where to find: Lamplight Lounge (DCA) – I highly recommend making reservations!

Cones at Cozy Cone Motel

So the Cozy Cone Motel is a great place in general to get snacks. Whether you want churros with chocolate dipping sauce, soft serve, pretzel bites, popcorn, or a vodka lemonade, there are a lot of options. My favorite Cone-Coctions where you can get bread cones filled with deliciousness. My year-round favorite is the Chili Cone Queso, though their seasonal options are usually the way to go. On my most recent trip, I had the Fiesta Cone which consisted of a bread cone filled with beans, ground beef, lettuce, queso, pico, sour cream, and tortilla strips. I’m drooling just thinking about it now.

In the end

I have been to Disneyland hundreds of time at this point and I don’t even think I’ve scratched the surface when it comes to the snacks offered. With new items constantly being added, I am going to keep this post updated as much as possible. And who knows, I might even do another post about the best food options at Disneyland?

What are your favorite snacks at Disneyland?
